      Higher education is a high-value commodity that plays an important role in any country’s economy and underpins the international or global economic position. Including the infrastructure, content provision and educational and training services developed by educational institutions equity is considered as a vital educational institution’s contribution to individuals, employers and communities’ development. This paper takes into consideration the main aspects of the Romanian higher education equity focusing on: what is equity defining the main equity characteristics, funds and expenses, equity and funding implication on higher education efficiency and challenges to ensure equity’s efficiency in the higher education.
