      Participation in Generic R&D SRJV is presented as beneficial for firms during periods of slow down in the market, as well as a preferred tool for governments seeking to increase the competitiveness of their industries and improve their chances of success.

      The research results of testing performance of firms participating in SRJVs compared to non-participants during periods of slow down are presented, as are recommendations for forming such programs.
