The Impact of Transition to Knowledge-Based Economy
on the Management Consultancy
Without any doubt, transition to the knowledge-based economy generates deep and complex changes at the company management. It appears knowledge-based organization and knowledge-based management. All these processes induce many and deep mutations in management consultancy. This paper presents some of these mutations regarding the increase of management intensity and importance, the new principles and percepts of knowledge-based management and the different structure of company functions and activities. A special attention is paid to the management consultant work regarding the changes in the content of management consultancy, the company resource approach, the focus on new activities and company efficiency evaluation and incensement.
