New Types of World-Wide Knowledge-Based Companies

      The analysis of the world-wide companies’ evolution process on the knowledge revolution background implies a variety of mutations. The economic changes due to knowledge-based economy are reflected upon its organizational structure. They can be divided into two main categories:
     
a) The emergence of new types of organizations, such as networking companies, clusters, ambidextrous firms, virtual organization etc.
     
b) The proliferation of some atypical organizations that had appeared previously, with changed characteristics and functions due to the influence of knowledge-based economy. In this category one finds incubators, business centers, corporations, networking companies etc.
