Revista de Management Comparat Internațional (Review of International Comparative Management) is an official publication of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Management. It is a peer-reviewed journal, with a regional and global perspective, focused directly on the evolving field of national and international management research, practice and policy.

 

The journal targets to be the main Romanian journal specialized in management field. Revista de Management Comparat Internațional (RMCI) is a scientific journal that publishes original articles related to all aspects of management. It has five issues per year and has a long tradition of being indexed in different international databases. RMCI started to be published in 2000.

 

Aims and scope

Using an effective combination of academic research and business-led best practices, RMCI aims to develop new knowledge and understanding in important areas of management. The journal encourages the research on managerial field, the comparative approaches in managing organisations in different countries, the presentation of methodologies and techniques that contribute to the managerial know - how transfer and that highlight how human resources, information, products and financial resources are managed in different social, economic, political and technological environment. Cross-cultural investigations are welcomed. The journal also facilitates submissions from practitioners in the field of management that can bring important contributions to the literature in the field. 

 

The editorial board seeks to attract valuable qualitative and quantitative research, conceptual approaches, review articles and theoretical expositions which make substantive and original contributions in the field of management.

Management structure

The editorial board comprises members who are recognized authorities in their respective fields. Each editor has significant academic or professional expertise relevant to the journal’s scope.

The Editor-in-Chief, Marian Năstase, holds a Ph.D. in Management and has extensive experience in general management, international comparative management, management of change, strategic management, leadership and organizational culture.

Our editors represent diverse subfields within the journal’s focus area, ensuring comprehensive coverage of topics and rigorous peer review by specialists. Each editor’s affiliation and expertise are transparently listed on the journal’s website under the “Editorial Board” section.

The editorial team is actively engaged in the scholarly community, contributing to research, peer review, and editorial best practices. This ensures that our journal maintains high academic and professional standards.

We strictly adhere to ethical publishing standards and do not use names or branding that might mislead authors, readers, or editors regarding the journal’s ownership or purpose.

Revenue sources

The journal is sponsored by Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Management, and we do not rely on any other revenue sources, such as author fees, subscriptions, advertising, or institutional support from external organizations. This sponsorship ensures that our journal operates as a non-commercial entity, dedicated solely to advancing scholarly communication.

Editorial independence
